Installation and Maintenance of Dental Treatment Chairs

Dental treatment chairs are essential medical equipment for dentists. Since the invention of the world's first electric dental drill in 1887, the performance and intelligence of dental treatment machines have significantly improved. In recent years, the application of numerous new technologies has made dental equipment more user-friendly.

Dental treatment chairis a medical device needed by dentists. Sincethe first electric dental drill was introduced in 1887, the performance and intelligence of dental treatment machines have greatly improved. In recent years, the application of a large number of new technologies has made dental equipment more user-friendly.

Air, water, and electricity areDental treatment chairthe three essential elements, so it is necessary to lay out the air and water pipelines before installation. The first water filter should be installed in the water line to avoid affecting the lifespan of the filter element inside the machine. The air pump should not be too close to the treatment chair to avoid noise affecting the patient's treatment during suction. If there are many devices, it is recommended to use centralized air supply, which can save costs, reduce failures, and ensure air quality.

Newly purchasedDental treatment chairis generally installed and debugged by the manufacturer, but it is advisable to have a doctor present during the installation process to address potential issues in future work.

Dental treatment chairThere are two types: one is connected, and the other is separated. Most are connected, mainly consisting of the patient chair, doctor chair, and treatment machine. Among them, the patient chair has both electric and manual types. The electric part includes screw drive, hydraulic drive, and belt drive. Manual control mainly uses foot pedals and hydraulic pressure to control the chair's position. The treatment machine mainly consists of high-speed handpieces, low-speed handpieces(pneumatic or electric), three-way spray guns, suction devices, automatic water dispensers, instrument trays, shadowless lamps, X-ray viewing lamps, dental scalers, light curing machines (usually optional), spit bowls, and air, water, and electricity control parts. The principle of operation is mainly to control water and electricity through air, treating oral diseases such as tooth extraction, orthodontics, fillings, and dental cleaning.

Due toDental treatment chairbeing a device with a high utilization rate for dentists treating patients, and being an integrated device of air, water, and electricity, daily maintenance is directly related to the service life and integrity of the equipment, making the daily maintenance of dental treatment chairs particularly important.

During the use of the dental treatment chair, in order to avoid cross-infection between patients, handpieces also need to undergo high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization, and to extend the lifespan of the handpieces, special attention should be paid to daily maintenance.

The maintenance of the dental treatment chair mainly involves the maintenance of the air and water lines. After work every day, gas, water, and electricity should be turned off. It is particularly worth mentioning that after shutting off the gas, the internal gas should be expelled using a three-way spray gun to avoid the pipelines being in a high-pressure state for a long time, which can easily lead to aging and rupture. Regularly clean the water filter according to local water quality, periodically drain the accumulated water in the air filter pressure relief valve, timely clean the suction device and spit bowl, and frequently take clean water to clean the pipelines. Also, pay special attention to water pressure and air pressure, ensuring they are within the specified range to avoid rupturing filters and pipelines. The operating lights and observation lights should not be frequently turned on and off, as this will shorten the lifespan of the bulbs. For the maintenance of the dental treatment chair, the drive components should be regularly checked, and the mechanical drive positions should be lubricated regularly. The electric drive should regularly check the oil level and quality in the oil tank, and when the oil level is low or the oil quality is poor, it should be replenished and replaced in a timely manner. When using belt drive, pay attention to adjusting the tightness of the belt.
